Fish feeding well after spawning ends

During the week, carp, tench and bream have been feeding during the daytime at Gingerbread Lake over most areas of the lake. Yannis Spalis caught a 21lb common carp during a short day session and Mike Broom landed another common weighing 22lbs after spotting fish topping in the weed beds out in the lake. John Murphy had a hectic day session catching 9 big bream and two tench. He returned two days later finding that the fish were still feeding well. He caught more bream and a low double-figured mirror carp but observed some much larger fish surfacing in the vicinity of his swim.

The otter fence around Gingerbread Lake is nearing completion and will provide much needed protection to the fish stocks in the lake.

Carp at Swan Lake were feeding during the day too but the fish here seemed to be much more wary than their gingerbread counterparts.
