Gingerbread’s carp still feeding

Richard Bartlett fished in a small bay at McGregor Lake where he caught two double-figured mirror carp fishing close to a snag from which he had to steer the fish away each time.

Brief mild spell does the trick

After his previous week’s success, Richard Fosker could not resist another night’s fishing at Gingerbread Lake and he was rewarded for his efforts with the capture of his best fish from the venue, a 35lb 8oz mirror carp. Gordon West fished a day session at McGregor Lake where he caught two hard-fighting mirror carp weighing 16lbs and 12lbs.

A last hurrah!

Richard Fosker managed to get in a last session before he starts a new job and fished a two-night session at Gingerbread Lake. He hit the jackpot landing seven carp including a 29lb 12oz common carp. However, the colder weather has seen water temperatures plunging to around 44c putting most carp off the feed, albeit temporarily with no other catch reports received.

Fish in the fog and cold!

Members will be pleased to learn that the otter fencing around Gingerbread Lake has finally been completed with the installation of a new inner entrance gate. A big thank you to the boys from Embryo who carried out this work.
