McGregor Carp On the Feed

By Alan Davies • November 6th, 2017

Chris Tribe has been targeting the carp in McGregor Lake recently and has been having plenty of success with many doubles topped by a 22.06 Mirror Carp, which is believed to be the largest authenticated carp caught from the lake.

Alan Davies targeted the River Ivel for short afternoon session and finding the river fining down after some recent rain and the weed dying back fished ledgered red maggots against a far bank reed bed and had chub to 4lb and Perch to 2lb.

The club are pleased to advise its members that the otter fence around McGregor Lake will be starting on Monday 6th November and work should take about 10 days. Once complete it will mean that the three main lakes will all be fenced off, ensuring that the fished are protected from otter predation.

A facebook page is in the process of being set up https://www.facebook.com/bighitaa/ which it is hoped will encourage reporting of catches from around our venues.
