Chub Make A Change

By Alan Davies • January 21st, 2018

In the recent cold conditions, Robert Livock decided to try for chub on the River Ivel at Sandy. He adopted a roving approach fishing swims for up to an hour before moving on if he got no bites. He fished with ledgered bread flake and went on to catch chub weighing 5lb 3oz, 4lb 2oz and 3lb 14oz.

The bridge across to the island at McGregor Lake has a hole in one of the planks, so anglers are advised to take care when crossing it to avoid having an accident
