AGM and Carp from Gingerbread

Callum Sharp on a recent session at Gingerbread landed two carp, 40.02 and 35.06 respectively.

Mick Broom fished at Swan Lake at the weekend where he caught four carp, all commons, with the biggest being a 34lb 6oz specimen. The fish was an unusual two-tone colour with the front half light and the rear dark. Another member reported banking a 30lb mirror carp too.

The AGM was held on the 22nd March at Biggleswade Rugby Club where the board presented a summary of how the club was performing. Main points of the meeting were:

1) Subscriptions would remain unchanged for the 2018/19 season

2) Sawmills Pool at Temspford following the changes to the adjacent sluice was no longer viable as a fishery and the lease would no be re-newed for the coming season

3) Lease on the section of the Ouse at Brampton would not be re-newed for the upcoming season and beyond.

4) Richard Banks was appointed President of the Club, following the passing of Bill Chisholm last year

The club book is now in the process of being updated and will shortly be sent to the printers, after which it will appear in the shops.

Final reminder that night permit renewals should be returned along with payment by the end of April, after which unfilled places shall be offered to those on the waiting lists
