Still a Few Being Caught

By Alan Davies • August 2nd, 2018

With the hot weather continuing, fish have often been reluctant to feed, but some anglers have been reporting some success.
Paul Prior and his 16 yr old son Aaron spent the night fishing at McGregors and caught 9 carp the biggest being 18.9 and the smallest 10.8 and also had 6 bream weighing from 4.2 to 6.7 all caught between the hours of 8.30pm and 4.30am.

Another angler doing at session at McGregor was Karl Franklin who despite losing several carp, banked eight carp during a day session up to 15lbs, while not catching as many Anthony Pogmore caught a 14lb Mirror and a 12.04 Common.

Alan Wilkie reported catching a 31.04 Mirror Carp during the day from Swan Lake.

Once again the club has to report that some members are still not following club rules, David Grant and Mick Broom (our bailiffs) have reported finding human excrement together with toilet paper behind the Birches swim on two occasions recently. A warning that, if the culprit(s) can be identified, they will be permanently expelled from the club. READ THE RULES and remember your bucket.
