High pressure and high temperatures severely affected catches on the club’s still waters this week. A new member fishing at Gingerbread Lake though did get off to a good start by catching two good-sized tench weighing 5lb 4oz and 7lbs. Carp in Swan Lake showed little appetite for feeding despite being seen cruising around areas of the lake. One member fished overnight managing to catch two low double-figured carp.
A new member fishing at McGregor Lake caught a big eel but complained after being broken up by several other fish if you can believe it!
