Despite the prolonged periods of rain the milder conditions were enough to entice a number of anglers to wet a line at BHAA’s still waters. Robert Livock fished at McGregor Lake where he managed to tempt a small fully scaled mirror and two bream around 4lbs each. Bailiff David Grant fished a couple of nights on the lake too and caught two carp, the best a hard fighting 12lb mirror. Another member caught the biggest fish of the week, a 17lb mirror carp in full winter colours.
Gingerbread Lake’s water level had still not recovered from the effects of the dry summer but the recent heavy rains has finally seen water running into the lake from nearby water courses to, hopefully, restore the level to normal.
