News Update: 19th January 2020

The recent heavy rains meant that the lower reaches of the rivers were carrying a lot of flood water so Fraser Hayden decided to visit an upper stretch of the River Ivel, BHAA’s Langford Mill stretch. In a short afternoon session, he caught 16lbs of roach and chub with his best chub weighing 4lb 14oz. All his fish fell to bread flake fished underneath a stick float.

A few hardy souls continued to fish at McGregor Lake where some single-figure carp and bream continued to feed. Mark Jeffries was one of the few anglers to catch on Swan Lake when he landed a 21lb mirror carp.
