News Update: 25th January 2021

With the recent lake closures and flooded rivers, there has been little opportunity for members to fish. Fraser Hayden has kept an eye on the state of the rivers locally and decided that it was now possible to fish the Ivel despite there being a lot of water still pushing through. He fished a stretch of the river at Sandy using single hook baits under a one-shot link ledger. By identifying the slacks where fish may be holding up, he was able to bag two nice chub, a 4lb 12oz specimen which fell to a lobworm and a 4lb fish that took flavoured meat.
