News Update: 21st March 2021

Work to clear tree branches that were blocking the track around Gingerbread Lake has been successfully completed which will enable members to reach all the swims situated at the far end of the lake.

At the virtual AGM meeting held on the 21st of March, members overwhelmingly voted for changes in day fishing times for the coming season starting on 16th of June. The revised on/0ff times for day fishing will be 5am until 10pm in the months April to September inclusive and 7am until 7p, throughout the winter months October to March.

McGregor Lake continues to fish well with several members each catching a couple of carp during day fishing sessions. The largest fish reported was a 25lb mirror carp whilst Robert Livock had a multiple hit catching mirror carp weighing 9lb 8oz, 18lb 4oz and 16lbs. The 18 pounder was a spectacular looking fully scaled specimen.

Guidance on the possible resumption of night fishing has yet to be issued but watch this space!
