The fine and sunny weather has seen many anglers out fishing on the lakes but it does not seem to appeal to the fish!
Ted Sadler had a fish take his bait at Swan Lake but instead of the intended carp it turned out to be an upper double-figured pike neatly hooked in the scissors.
Fraser Hayden turned to Gingerbread Lake in his quest for a big bream fishing a whittled down boilie over a light sprinkling of corn, hemp and other goodies. The tactic worked resulting in him landing an 8lb 7oz specimen. Although not quite the double he was hoping for, it was welcome none the less on a cold evening stint.
