This week, a working party were at the Tyringhan Farm stretch of the River Ouse carrying out gravel washing operations. The object of this exercise was to clear silt from the gravel to provide a clean bottom on which fish can spawn.
Following numerous enquiries on the availability of club books for new or returning members, the club is planning to release books to the outlets listed on the website. These will be available on a first come first serve basis and are unlikely to be available for too long.
McGregor Lake continues to produce some great sport for members. Robert Livock caught a 20lb 3oz mirror carp during a short day visit and returned later in the week to bag three more double figured carp, a 10lb common and mirrors weighing 21lbs and 17lb 4oz. Bailiff Trevor Richardson had some hectic sport but not from his target carp. Instead, he landed 11 bream and a small carp during an overnight session. Several other members reported catching carp to over 20lbs during the week too.
