Disappointingly, one of our summer species has made a winter appearance. “The McGregor Imbecile”.
Despite investing of hundreds of man hours, tonnes of aggregate and several thousand pounds to provide a winter car park on the Ivel Bank, anglers continue to drive on the wet ground beyond it. One particular “specimen” (see photos) chose to drive a van down an incline to the waters edge – a location which is notoriously boggy, and fished from the cab of his vehicle.
Deciding to leave, he was unable to reverse up the gradient. His solution was to take planks off the bridge to the island and use them to aid traction. After a great deal of damage to the ground he left the fishery, but of course had no inclination to replace the bridge planks. CRETIN !!
