Michal Cooney is a member who quietly goes about his fishing at Gingerbread Lake but he now feels that he would like to share his catches made over the past month with fellow members. During this time, Michael has caught three big mirror carp weighing 26lb 6oz, 38lb 12oz and 37lb 2oz. In addition, he has caught three common carp with the largest weighing 30lb 14oz and the others 26lb 9oz and 18lb 1oz. Ionuc Cires did a quick overnight session at the lake and caught a sizable mirror carp too.

Karl Franklin decided to try and catch more of Swan Lake’s tench and bream by employing swim feeder tactics to cast ground bait over his chosen area. He was pleased to achieve a positive outcome by landing his second big bream weighing 8lb 5oz and a cracking 6lb 4oz tench. Anthony Pogmore reverted to using a heavily flavoured bag of mixed pellets fished with a couple of small barrel shaped boilies. It did not produce any of the carp he was after but accounted for two tench weighing 5lb 12oz and 5lb 8oz. Craig Leitch placed his bait quietly into the water and then walked his line back to his swim with the result of him catching a beautifully conditioned 28lb 4oz common carp. Steve Curtin has been employing a highly successful bait during his day sessions at the lake but feared it was attracting the attention of unwanted eels. His fears were confirmed when he landed a whopping eel around the 4lb mark. Later in the week, he returned to catch his intended quarry, a 31lb 6oz mirror carp.
