News Update: 19th November 2023
With the colder weather just around the corner, chub society member Karl Franklin decided to fish one of the club’s stretches on the River Ouse for the day. It proved to be hard going but Karl eventually managed to catch a cracking 5lb specimen chub to make the trip worthwhile.
Members who attended the recent working party at Gingerbread Lake had an opportunity to fish after work was done for the day. Louis Horne opted for a bit of pike fishing and was well pleased to land a couple of these long lean fighting machines both approaching double figures. Sam Hallybone fished overnight for carp, and he too was successful in catching his intended quarry, this time a 30lb 2oz common carp.Further work parties are to be arranged for swim and track repair work at the Sandy Lakes complex where the Association was successful in applying for financial assistance in carrying out some of this work. More details of working party dates will be published as and when dates are determined.
Members are reminded that they must have a photo of themselves in their club books especially when fishing on IPA waters. Failure to do this will result in the offender(s) being told to leave the fishery.
