News Update: 10th December 2023

Assisted by students from Shuttleworth College as part of their Land & Wildlife Course, Neil Sampson, Chairman, carried out tree planting at the Sandy complex. Altogether, 13 semi mature native trees were planted around both McGregor and Swan lakes. Species planted included Oak, Field Maple, Wild cherry, Damson, Cranb Apple, Plum, Walnut and Pear. The fruit trees should give a great blossom display in the Spring in years to come and will increase the biodiversity around the lakes. The trees were supplied by our good friends at the Environment Agency’s Gr. Ouse – Fisheries and Biodiversity Team based at Brampton. A great little project delivered by collaborative working.

A reminder that the forthcoming AGM will be held at Tempsford Village Hall again this year on Wednesday, 17th January 2024 scheduled to start at 7.30pm.

There were no reports of any fish catches over the past week.
