News Update: 30th June 2024

After the blistering start to the new season, it has been a much quieter week probably because some carp were busy spawning and, therefore, had other things on their minds!

David Flint had a short session at Swan Lake where he managed to wheedle out a 20lb common carp when other anglers were struggling for any action. He returned later in the week only for his bait to be snaffled by one of those boilie munching pike.

At McGregor Lake, Terry Peniston recently enjoyed a hectic session banking five carp, two commons weighing 14lb 8oz and 15lb 8oz and three mirrors weighing 15lb 9oz, 18lb 4oz and 19lb 10 oz. Terry reported that all the fish were in great condition and scrapped hard. Lloyd Gadsby was another angler to get amongst the carp landing, at least, three fish including a super looking mirror carp.

Finally, Louis Horne was the latest angler to catch an early season chub from the River Ouse.
