New season brings its early rewards

Jamie Boness has been enjoying a great time fishing at Swan Lake and his success has continued with some more great catches including mirror carp weighing 26lb 3oz and 28lb 1oz and a beautiful common of 15lb 6oz.

Autumn Gold!

BHAA’s Membership Secretary Anthony Pogmore arrived at Gingerbread Lake to find the water flat calm with little or no wind so he decided to fish at range using Ngage boilies in conjunction with a PVA bag of freebies. It was early afternoon when his alarm sounded a take and he was soon playing a heavy fish. His friend Willy Woodfield immediately recognised it as a big fish although Anthony was less certain. The fish was landed and was a near leather which tipped the scales at 34lb 8oz confirming Willy’s gut instinct.

A soaking for Rob but he’s not complaining!

Rob connected with the fish which turned out to be a new p.b. for him in the form of an immaculate 33lb 8oz mirror carp. By the time the fish was returned to the lake, Rob was well and truly soaked but he could rest contentedly for the rest of the night. Lake regulars Jarred Cooper and Steve Sewell caught three low twenties between them all on S2t bait.
